The first step in my workflow is to analyze the source material provided by the client. This can range from brand assets to technical documents, and it’s critical that I gain a deep understanding of the content’s intent and target audience. I scrutinize the style, tone, and messaging of the source material to ensure that the layout design is perfectly aligned with the client’s vision.
Depending on the layout task, I may create a draft to give the client an idea of the visual direction of the project. This can be a sketch, a wireframe, or a mockup of the final design. Once the design is approved, I move into the final design phase.
Using my technical skills and creative expertise, I begin to bring the layout design to life. This includes selecting the appropriate color palette, typography, and visual elements that align with the client’s brand guidelines and target audience. My goal is to deliver designs that are not only visually appealing, but also functional and user-friendly.
The final step in my workflow involves iterative review to ensure that the final product is of the highest quality. I carefully review the designs and make the necessary changes to ensure that the final product meets the client’s expectations. I understand that layout design is an iterative process, and I am always willing to make adjustments to ensure that my clients are satisfied with the final product.
